The H3000 series represents a good compromise between the lot of them, and plus, you won't loose your money on it if you decide to sell it, and it's so easy to program you probably won't even need to read the manual, as Brian Eno said, this is how equipment should be designed, the H3000, it's a no brainer. The later DSP series and the eclipse just didn't cut the mustard, and they are stupidly hard to program. The early H910/(949/969 harmonizers were very thick, superbly dense, but they are so unreliable it's a joke, plus they are limited in what they can do really, and the H3000 is just as good for those types of sounds anyway. I've owned a lot of Eventides, an H910/949, and a DSP4000, also an Eclipse, and have an H3000DSE right now. Also, unlike earlier models, it's reliable, and above all, really really easy to use and program. Also, the reverbs are unique, thick, and great for long dense reverbs, again, they have a character all of their own which is very desirable, it's not the same as other models. Why ? It's got a lot of sounds, some of them unattainable on other models, like the Crystal Echo's sound, the H3000 version simply sounds the best, full, slightly grainy and with lots of character.

This is straightforward, there is such a thing as a classic Eventide and it's the H3000 series.
